As a burgeoning startup in the e-commerce space, we are facing challenges with scaling our existing infrastructure to meet increasing consumer demands. We require a DevOps expert to architect and implement a scalable, cloud-based pipeline that handles continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) for platforms like Shopify Plus and WooCommerce. The ideal solution will automate testing, deployment, and monitoring processes to ensure that our sites remain performant and highly available during traffic surges. Key tasks include setting up infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, creating CI/CD workflows with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and implementing monitoring solutions with Prometheus and Grafana. Special attention will be given to optimizing site speed and reliability, integrating with payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal, and leveraging technologies like Algolia for enhanced search capabilities. Additionally, the solution should be flexible enough to incorporate emerging trends such as headless commerce and personalization features via Contentful. We require the project to be executed within a 4-6 week timeframe, with close collaboration with our development team to ensure alignment with our business goals.
