Real-Time Student Engagement Analytics Platform for EdTech Startup

In the fast-evolving landscape of education technology, understanding how students interact with digital content is paramount. Our startup, EduAnalytics, is on a mission to empower educators by providing them with real-time, actionable insights into student engagement. We are looking for a data engineer to design and implement a scalable data pipeline that captures, processes, and analyzes student interaction data from various educational platforms. This project will involve setting up event streaming using Apache Kafka to ingest data in real time. Apache Spark will be employed to process these data streams and perform complex transformations. The processed data will be stored in a cloud-based data warehouse like Snowflake or BigQuery, enabling seamless integration with BI tools for visualization. The successful freelancer will also implement data observability practices to ensure data quality and reliability. Using Airflow for orchestration and dbt for data transformations, the project will integrate MLOps principles to facilitate continuous improvement in analytics. This effort will culminate in a comprehensive analytics dashboard that provides educators with insights into student behavior, enabling them to tailor educational content in real-time.
