Real-time Event Streaming Platform for Enhanced Athlete Performance Analytics

In the fast-paced world of Sports & Athletics, gaining an edge through data-driven insights is crucial. Our company is expanding its capabilities to offer real-time analytics for athlete performance. The project involves building a robust data engineering pipeline leveraging Apache Kafka for event streaming, Spark for real-time data processing, and Airflow for orchestrating complex workflows. The data will be stored and managed using Snowflake, facilitating seamless integration with our existing BigQuery databases. Implementing a data mesh architecture, we aim to decentralize data ownership and foster a culture of data observability. This project will empower coaches and athletes with actionable insights derived from live performance data, ultimately enhancing training regimens and competitive strategies.
