Launch of Inclusive E-commerce Platform for Special Education Resources

The proposed project involves the development of an e-commerce platform designed exclusively for the special education sector. Our vision is to create an inclusive marketplace where parents, educators, and specialists can easily find and purchase educational resources tailored to the diverse needs of special needs students. Key features will include personalized product recommendations, subscription models for recurring purchases of essential educational materials, and integration with social commerce channels to enhance community engagement. The platform will utilize headless commerce architecture to ensure scalability and flexibility, with Shopify Plus or WooCommerce as the backbone. We aim to incorporate Algolia for dynamic search capabilities and Contentful for managing adaptive content delivery. Payments will be streamlined through integrations with Stripe and PayPal, ensuring secure transactions. Augmented Reality (AR) try-ons will allow users to preview assistive tools in their environment, helping them make informed decisions. This project is critical to addressing the accessibility gap in educational resources for special needs students and will be executed with a high urgency level, targeting a 4-6 week completion timeline.
