Development of a Progressive Web App (PWA) for Remote Patient Monitoring

Our healthcare SME is focused on improving patient outcomes through innovative technology solutions. We are launching a project to develop a Progressive Web App (PWA) designed for remote patient monitoring, particularly targeting patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. The PWA should provide seamless integration with wearable health devices, enabling real-time data transmission to healthcare providers. It should also offer easy-to-use interfaces for both patients and healthcare providers, and must be scalable to accommodate future growth and feature enhancements. The PWA will need to support features like data visualization dashboards, secure messaging between patients and providers, push notifications for medication reminders, and video consultations leveraging WebRTC. We envision using modern web technologies such as React or Vue.js for the frontend, with a scalable serverless backend architecture. GraphQL will be used for efficient data querying and API management, while TypeScript will ensure robust and maintainable code. This project is critical as it addresses the growing need for remote healthcare solutions, especially in a post-pandemic landscape where access to in-person visits may be limited.
