Blockchain-based Traceability Solution for Sustainable Seafood Supply Chains

In the face of increasing consumer demand for sustainable and ethically sourced seafood, our company is committed to transparency and accountability in our supply chains. We are embarking on a project to develop a blockchain-based traceability system that will track each batch of seafood from the point of catch through to final sale. By implementing this system, we aim to create an immutable ledger that records every step of the seafood journey, enhancing both our transparency and consumer trust. The solution will be built using Solidity for smart contract development, Web3.js and Ethers.js for integrating blockchain with our existing systems, and storage solutions such as IPFS for decentralized data management. We plan to deploy the solution on Polygon to ensure scalability and affordability. Chainlink will provide the necessary oracle services for real-world data integration. This project will not only meet regulatory requirements but also position us as a leader in sustainable seafood practices, providing a significant competitive edge. Our target is to engage consumers who value sustainably sourced products by providing them with verified data on the origins and handling of their seafood purchases. During the 12-16 weeks timeline, we will work closely with our consulting team to ensure successful implementation and integration with our existing IT infrastructure.
