About Me
Hi I’m Jennifer Pike and this is my journey from Marketing Exec to Woman in Tech. 😉
With a dynamic career spanning over two decades, I have cultivated a diverse skill set in marketing, event planning, and web development. My journey began in 1996 at 20th Century Fox and the Fox Network in Los Angeles, where I initially focused on marketing before transitioning to event planning, orchestrating premiere parties and corporate events for Fox celebrities and executives.
I later honed my expertise in marketing and event management at the Key Club music venue on Sunset Strip, where I embraced innovative strategies such as guerrilla marketing and eBlasts. In 2005, I joined LA Weekly, the iconic local publication, to spearhead promotional marketing and drive digital engagement for their newly launched website, leveraging my early adoption of social media platforms like MySpace for business purposes.
Recognizing the growing importance of digital media, I pursued further education in web design and development at UCLA. Upon graduating, I returned to 20th Century Fox as a web developer, combining my marketing acumen with technical skills.
In 2013, I relocated to London, where I built websites for renowned companies such as Which?, Sainsbury’s, and Molton Brown. My comprehensive experience led to the founding of Phoenix Road Creative in 2016.
At Phoenix Road Creative, we specialize in developing custom WordPress websites that empower clients to easily manage their content, ensuring fast, secure, and SEO-ready websites. Our unique approach involves creating a proprietary WordPress theme with reusable content blocks, providing clients with the flexibility to maintain a consistent and professional online presence.
In 2024, I returned to Los Angeles, where Phoenix Road Creative continues to thrive, delivering innovative web solutions that drive business growth and online visibility.

PPrimetime Upfront Presentation, Hospitality & Party
Invalid date - present
In the United States, the major broadcast networks' Upfronts occur in New York City during the third week of May, the last full week of that month's sweeps period. The networks announce their fall primetime schedules, including tentative launch dates (i.e., fall or midseason) for new television programming, which may be "picked up" the week before. The programming announcements themselves are usually augmented with clips from the new television series, extravagant musical numbers, comedic scenes, and appearances by network stars, and take place at grand venues such as Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, or Carnegie Hall. It is also the time when it is announced (by virtue of not being on the fall schedule) which shows are canceled for the next season. In recent years, the networks have mostly revealed this information to the public a few days before the actual presentation. Most cable networks present earlier in the spring since they usually program for the summer months; press attention to these announcements is usually much lighter.
PTCA Press Tours - Hospitality & Parties
Invalid date - present
A TCA Press Tour allows the major television networks, cable networks and the Public Broadcasting Service to present their slate of upcoming programs to a large group of press writers from different outlets all at once through panels and interviews. These biannual conferences involve registered TCA members staying at a chosen Los Angeles venue for two to three weeks, and each network is assigned a series of days to showcase their programming.
